GIDARA Energy collaborates with Aker Solutions in Equinor waste-to-SAF study

We are pleased to announce that GIDARA Energy's HTW (High Temperature Winkler) technology for Gasification of solid waste to syngas has been selected by Aker Solutions (AKSO), as one of several suppliers, to contribute to a feasibility study for the Equinor Mongstad Industrial Transformation (MIT) project. The aim is to convert solid waste and RDF to produce SAF.

GIDARA aims to present the in-house HTW Gasification unit as part of the study, with the intention of converting solid waste feedstock to a clean syngas. This includes the pre-treatment of waste (drying/storing) and raw syngas cleaning/treatment. The clean and green syngas will then be used to produce SAF through a Fischer-Tropsch or, alternatively, a methanol/ethanol-to-jet process.
